Agritourism refers to people visiting working farms or other agricultural operations for the purpose of enjoyment, education, or other active involvement. Agritourism encompasses a wide variety of activities and provides a means for farmers to diversify and supplement their income.
Agritourism brings tourists to a farm or ranch to teach them about the agriculture, local culture and increase income. It enhances agricultural knowledge, practices, and markets in Rwanda’s agricultural sector through the educational network of both tourists and local farming cooperatives.
